Matthew Grinder holds a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Freed-Hardeman University and is in the process of completing requirements to obtain licensure in the state of Tennessee as a licensed professional counselor and mental health service provider, LPC/MHSP (temp). Matthew is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). He is a trained facilitator of the Prepare/Enrich assessment tool. Matthew also has experience in university counseling centers as well as youth and family ministry. He has experience working with clients dealing with: anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, pornography/sex addiction, pre-marital/engagement counseling, grief and loss, stress, and spiritual concerns. He is also trained to provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a modality in treatment. This is most commonly used to treat trauma or other ongoing issues that do not respond to traditional therapy methods.
Matt and his wife Lauren have been married for 4 years. They have a Golden Retriever puppy named Chief.
