Angie Scallion, LPC/MHSP
Angie Scallion has a master of science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee. She has experience in helping clients of all ages who deal with depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and addiction. She taught middle school for 17 years before making a career change and believes that her experience has helped in her counseling practice to better understand children and teenagers and how mental health can affect their everyday functioning, as well as the family. She loves to hear her client’s story, as they are all unique. She believes that God has a plan for each one of us and she wants to be able to help each client discover and begin living out that plan. She wants to help clients learn habits and skills that will help them better cope with what life has brought them. She uses cognitive behavioral techniques in counseling and encourages clients to develop healthy patterns of thinking. She plans to complete EMDR training during the fall of 2023 in order to better help clients who have experienced trauma.
Angie has been married for 25 years and has 3 children and one dog. She is involved in her church and works with the Madison Academic girls’ basketball team as their FCA character coach. . During her free time, she enjoys running, attending her kids’ sporting events, cooking, reading, spending time with family, and cheering on the UT Vols.
