Luke T. Guard holds a masters of science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee. He has worked in both intensive-outpatient and private practice settings and has experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Luke desires to meet clients where they are and walk with them through the counseling process to achieve their goals, generate healthier and more functional habits, and become who God truly created them to be. He takes an integrative and holistic approach that highly values the client-counselor relationship and acknowledges each client’s unique cognitive, emotional, physical, behavioral, relational, and spiritual needs. Luke approaches counseling from a cognitive-behavioral background while utilizing psychodynamic, interpersonal, and family systems theory.  He is also a certified SYMBIS Assessment Facilitator which addresses Pre-marital and Married couples.

 

Luke is an EMDR Trained Clinician in working with children, adolescents, and adults. Luke collaborates with adolescents (age 12+) and adults and has worked with clients dealing with ADHD, addiction, depression, emotional dysregulation, family concerns, grief & loss, relationship issues, stress & anxiety, transitional issues, and trauma.

 

Luke and his wife, Ashton, have been married for nine years and have two children. They have ministered to young people for over a decade.
