Relationship Issues

Family Dispute

Issues in relationships can become overwhelming. Often those closest to us know how to hurt us the most. Common relationship issues include poor boundaries, lack of intimacy, passive aggressive or aggressive behavior, lack of communication, dealing with the effects of substance abuse, abuse, etc. If you have a history of trauma from family or past relationships, this can create relational issues in the present. Our clinical therapists help clients begin to heal from the wounds caused by these issues while helping create environments where change is possible. Individual counseling can focus on how to respond and cope, while couples counseling can focus on the whole environment of your relationship.

Research shows that preventive counseling is highly effective. Don’t wait until your relationship is “on the rocks” to seek help. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

We also offer pre-marital counseling to help couples discuss and think through issues and questions that often arise in marriage and to lay the groundwork to better prepare for those.
